MA, Integral Counseling Program
California Institute of Integral Studies
My time at CIIS, within the Integral Counseling Program, was profoundly transformative. The program equipped me with knowledge and a commitment to growth and learning.
During my practicum at Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, supervised by Dr. Kellen Grayson, I gained invaluable clinical experience. GGICC is dedicated to providing affordable psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Following my practicum, I had the good fortune of joining Tatra de la Rosa's practice, de la Rosa Psychotherapists. Under her supervision, my development accelerated. Her mentorship — particularly in Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the treatment of shame — refined my theoretical grounding and clinical instincts.
Education & Experience
Where I Come From
I was raised in the apple orchards and redwoods, amidst the back-to-the-land ethos of the hippie era, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Miwok people, known as West Sonoma County. In my 20s and 30s, I found myself drawn to the vibrant energy of San Francisco. I still feel this connection, but my heart is here, in Sonoma County. There's a unique culture here that resonates and anchors me in a sense of belonging.
Through my experiences, I've come to recognize the similar patterns and connections between humans, animals, nature, and the material world. Some of which are beyond our ordinary perceptions. I'm fascinated by both the expansive external realm and the internal landscape, how they intersect and influence each other, and how slight shifts can have monumental effects on entire systems. I am forever curious how the there and then shape what is here and now. It’s unique to each of us.
